San Juan de Sahagún Church

This emblematic building is dedicated to the patron saint of the town, San Juan de Sahagún

The temple consists of a single nave and a transept, as well as five altars, According to legend, the central one was built above the room where the saint was born.
This Baroque church, built in colonial Neoclassical style on the saint’s house is a magnificent church and sanctuary, where the Patron Saint of the town is worshipped with great devotion.
The remains of Saint Facundo and Saint Primitivo, the founders of the town, and of the head of San Mancio, are kept in a silver casket on the main altar.
